Velomini Folding Electric Bike
The Velomini bicycle combines two of the most sought after
features now days including one that has electric pedal assist
and one that can fold up as well. The Velomini bike is for
both show and go.

On the show side, once you've folded up the bike by turning
a few knobs, you can carry it by its main bar, put a shoulder
strap upon it, or put it into a case that comes with the bike
that looks similar to a guitar case. When this case is not
in use it also serves as a backpack, so hauling a laptop and
some books to work or school is a cinch.
The folding capability is also handy when you want to fly
to another location and take your Velomini bike with you as
you can check it as luggage with most airlines. At around
30 lbs this may sound a little on the heavy side but remember
this Velomini is also an electric bike with batteries and
motor. When folded up it is only 18-inches tall.
Travel Modes ...
The Velomini bike has three different modes of travel including
pedal assist, throttle and pedal and throttle only. The 24v
6AH lithium-ion battery life is rated at around 8 - 12 miles
depending upon riding conditions.
Velomini electric bike is capable of handling most hills
easily in pedal assist mode which start quickly once a person
is upon the bicycle and has made a couple of revolutions of
the pedals. Throttle and pedal lets you fine tune the combination
of each and if you are just flat out tire, use throttle only
and let her ride.
The Velomini electric bikes comes with a 180-watt brushless
hub motor that gives more oomph than one would imagine. Though
on the smaller side, the bike has the feel of a full size
bicycle with its standard bike brake in the front and disc
brake on the rear wheel.
Got to Know When to Hold 'Em ...
The Velomini electric bike will be useful by many types of
cyclists, but in particular ones that may need multiple types
of transportation in a given day such as some combination
of train, subway, airline or bus plus bicycle. The retail
price is expected to be in the high $900 range.
